Location, Location, Location    

The location of Woodforest is top-notch. Located in south Montgomery County, this gorgeous neighborhood is just seven miles west of Interstate 45. It is far enough away from the interstate that it is not busy, crowded, or loud, but close enough to connect you to other parts of Texas for work, fun, or day trips with ease. Woodforest is near to shopping centers, daycares, and some of the best school districts in the state.

 

Schools 

Woodforest is also home to many top Texas school districts. Residents of Woodforest live in both Conroe Independent School District or Montgomery Independent School District. This gives residents a choice of where they would like their children to go, but also houses two great options that are nearby. Within the Woodforest community, Conroe Independent School District is home to Stewart ELementary, Peet Junior High, and Conroe High School, whereas Montgomery Independent School District has Lone Star Elementary, Oak Hills Junior HIgh, and Lake Creek High School. Both of these school districts have been named some of the best in Houston, so living in Woodforest can be the optimal choice for your child, their education, and their future. 

 

Nature and Things to Do 

Texas is full of many beautiful places. While getting in the car and driving to scenic nature trails can be worthwhile, you do not always have to do this when living in the Woodforest community. Woodforest has serene nature trails as well as fun playgrounds. Woodforest is home to many parks and trails in the forest. More than 700 acres of Woodforest is taken up with parks, recreational areas, sports fields, and open areas. This includes beautiful nature parks, playgrounds, sports fields, splash pads, dog parks, and even spaces for outdoor gatherings like barbecues. Woodforest is also home to a 16-acre tennis and aquatics center, Forest Island. This community center has something for everyone, including tennis, pickleball, basketball, pools, and splash pads.  

 

For the Sports Lovers  

Woodforest also contains their very own sports complex, Stampede Sportsplex. Currently, this sports complex has two regulation soccer fields and one junior high soccer field. These fields are great for league practice or informal play. Home to a local soccer club in Texas, practice can be almost in your own backyard if you live in Woodforest! Stampede Sportsplex is still growing and will include other active sports amenities as other phases of this complex are constructed and built. 

 

Woodforest Golf Club

The community of Woodorest also has its very own golf club. While you do not have to live in Woodforest to experience this amenity, Woodforest residents love the option being so close to home. Woodforest Golf Club is one of Texas’ most acclaimed golf courses. Featuring a 27-hole championship course designed by Steve Elkington, this private facility is home to three different courses surrounded by the beauty of the Texas pines and oaks.
