Fall is finally here and we have a lot of fun events going on in the area! You don’t have to leave our community to participate in fall fun. Specifically, Woodforest’s own Pine Market is home to quite a few fall festivities and activities. Check out what fun events and activities are coming to Woodforest this October!
National Night Out – October 3
National Night Out is right around the corner! On Tuesday, October 3 from 5-7pm, we will be spotlighting our partnerships between local law enforcement and the community. This event is fun for kids to learn more about law enforcement, people who would just like to go to show their appreciation, and country music lovers! National Night Out will have squad cars and emergency vehicles to show off to the public. We’ll also have bounce houses and face painting for the kids! At National Night Out, there are opportunities to meet Woodforest officers who keep our wonderful community safe. We’ll also have live country music, performed by the Michael Monroe Goodman Band.
Concert in the Park – October 6
Fall is a great time to enjoy time outside. At the Woodforest community, we’ll be doing just that with our Concert in the Park featuring Sean McHargue. The Concert in the Park is being held Friday, October 6 from 6-8pm. Celebrate our first ever concert in the park by listening to Sean McHarge, the lead singer of The Ransom Brothers. If you’re a fan of the Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band, and other ‘70s Southern rockers, come check out Sean Mchargue’s music! Be sure to bring blankets and lawn chairs if you don’t want to stand. The fun doesn’t have to end with the concert. Afterwards, you can grab a bite to eat at one of Pine Market’s tasty restaurants!
Concert in the Park – October 13
The weather is so good for concerts this time of year, we’re holding two different concerts in the month of October! Join us for the Concert in the Park featuring Oliver Penn. This concert takes place from 6-8pm on Friday, October 13. Oliver Penn will be performing a mix of blues, country, and retro-soul music. Penn has performed with names like Charley Crockett, Shakey Graves, Randall King, and The California Honeydrops and Shinyribs. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and grab a bite to eat before or after the show in the nearby Pine Market.
